Understanding passkeys
Passkeys are a replacement for passwords. They're faster to sign in with, easier to use and much more secure.
A passkey is created during account registration and saved on your device, in your password manager or on a security key.
You do not type a passkey. Follow your browser's prompts to use a saved passkey or security key.
For more information, see Apple's guide to passkey security and the FIDO Alliance's passkey explanation.
